New York University Research Assistant/Coordinator in New York, New York
The Mindful Education Lab (MEL) at the NYU is seeking a research assistant to conduct research on meditation and mindfulness both on-line and in person.
Housed within the Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of
We are seeking a part-time (20 hrs per week) to support our team in the following ways:
Teach online meditation classes
Design and administer surveys through qualtrics
Manage project data
Organize research meetings
Assist Directors in time-sensitive project-related reporting matters
Support MEL community

Bachelor’s degree in psychology or Data Science or premed.
Experience teaching mediation/yoga
2+ years working in a research lab, familiarity with IRB and Cayuse, experimental methods and surgery methods, statistics in SPSP, CITI training
Excellent organizational Skills
Excellent Leadership skills
Excellent communicator
Able to manage many projects at once
Positive attitude and willing to learn as the job progresses
Commitment to the wellbeing of others, especially from underserved populations
