HIRING: Remote Electrical Design Engineer!!

Location: New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut (Candidates must reside in one of these states)

Job Description:

We are a leading provider of engineering solutions, specializing in innovative and sustainable designs for high-performance systems across a variety of industries. We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be fully remote, but candidates must be based in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut to be considered.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work closely with Senior Engineers to design and analyze electrical systems for complex infrastructure projects. You will be involved in the design of electrical distribution, grounding, back-up power systems, general power distribution, lighting control, fire alarm systems, and lightning protection, contributing to the success of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems such as electrical distribution, grounding, back-up power, lighting design and control, fire alarm systems, and lightning protection.

• Perform system design calculations and analyze electrical distribution options.

• Review and interpret relevant building codes and standards to ensure compliance.

• Prepare detailed design documents, including power, lighting, and fire alarm system drawings.

• Collaborate with architects and engineers from other disciplines to ensure cohesive project outcomes.

• Develop schematics, one-line diagrams, contract documents, and technical reports.

• Coordinate with team members to successfully implement projects in accordance with the design requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience designing electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, back-up power, fire alarm systems, and lightning protection.

• Experience in infrastructure projects such as healthcare facilities, data centers, central plants, and municipal systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Revit.

• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant building codes and standards.

• Ability to prepare technical documents such as schematics, one-line diagrams, and reports.

• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.

• A self-motivated team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

• Revit experience.

• Interest in sustainable design practices and innovative engineering solutions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
