Jacobs Project Engineer Professional Associate in New York, New York
Supporting the project team in managing field construction activities. Activities will include management and tracking of submittals, field documentation, RFI’s, proposals, contracts, invoices and change orders while operating within a fast-paced project schedule. Work on active projects coordinating with building and client. Keep track of agendas, meeting minutes, and action items derived from meetings. Developing and maintaining project cost/change controls, project budget, and change order estimates/negotiations. Drawing document control, tracking as-built drawings, managing the RFI, submittal, close out/O&M/startup commissioning process. Reviewing contractor payment requisitions. Conduct inspections in the field of contractor work. Write daily reports. Responsible for coordination with design team in submittal review, tracking & logging. Keep track of project schedule, analysis of Gantt chart, Work Breakdown Structure and issue review comments. Creating & tracking RFI’s. Reviewing & interpreting construction drawings. Submitting and logging change orders. Attending client meetings and field meetings. Coordinating with field inspector & foremen. Responsible for coordination with pre-construction and estimating. Responsible for takeoffs & bid review.
Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management and 4 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Expertise/ knowledge of: Change Order Evaluations and Cost Estimating. Review contract documents and provide a detailed estimation of cost and schedule impact. Risk Analysis and Mitigation specifically tailored towards Construction Management to develop a Risk Management Plan. CPM Scheduling, WBS, Gantt Chart. Planning and Executing Project Controls Program and Systems. Reading engineering documents and drawings. Technical writing and contract language. Claims Review and Analysis. Project management in the construction industry.
