Description We are seeking a diligent Project Accountant for a construction company located in New York. This role is pivotal in managing client billings, processing subcontractor payments, generating lean waivers, and maintaining accounts payable, among other duties. This is a contract position, perfect for individuals adept in accounting software systems, construction accounting, and subcontract management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with client billings and AIA billings, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions

• Process subcontractor payments in a timely and efficient manner

• Generate lean waivers as part of the construction accounting process

• Collect and manage client information, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) procedures and maintain accurate records

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Sage 300 for efficient record-keeping

• Liaise with various departments for budget processes and capital expenditure (CapEx) management

• Handle accounts receivable (AR) and billing functions, ensuring prompt payments and minimal discrepancies

• Provide expertise in subcontract management, including handling subcontractor bids and proposals

• Leverage knowledge of the construction industry for effective project accounting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with CapEx procedures

• Experience with Costpoint and Deltek

• Understanding of Deltek Vision

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Capability to handle Billing Functions

• Experience with Budget Processes

• Understanding of Construction Accounting and Industry

• Proficiency in Sage 300 and AIA Billing

• Experience in Subcontract Management, including handling Subcontractor Bids and Proposals

• Knowledge of LEED Accounts Payable
