Please contact Human Resources if you require an accommodation.BASIC FUNCTION:Responsible for a variety of project management duties within the Economic Incentives Department from acceptance through funding disbursement for projects undertaken by businesses. Facilitate project success and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and administrative guidelines and procedures. The incumbent will be expected to develop a detailed knowledge of the requirements to participate in various tax incentives programs and be able to effectively communicate the program requirements to potential applicants and other parties not familiar with those requirements. WORK PERFORMED:• Audit final applications for the entertainment tax credit programs including general ledgers, and similar production documents to ensure compliance with program requirements; prepare project files for Director’s review • Review and analyze complex budgets central to each application • Run queries from the Film database to respond to and verify internal requests for data • Assist in the development of new Program applications and related forms • Assume a variety of Department-wide responsibilities as assigned, such as, reviewing and improving processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements • Manage data using various program databases and ensure that project information is accurate in information management systems. • Maintain professional and effective working relationships with all ESD regional offices, other agency representatives from the Departments of Taxation and Finance, Labor, and local economic development organizations. • Schedule and hold meetings/conference calls with production accountants, producers and others.
Minimum Qualifications Education Level required: Associate degree or higher preferred in business, public administration, accounting, or another business-related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Takes initiative and works independently. Strong attention to detail and independent follow through is highly important. Specialized experience preferred: 3+ years experience in entertainment industry production, accounting, or another professional services firm. Knowledge required: Proficient Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word; Database management. Knowledge preferred: Industry standard budgeting software such as Movie Magic; Microsoft Access and MS Dynamics
