Compensation: $64,100 - $73,300

Location/Hours

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our New York City office. It is expected that some duties will be performed on-site at least 2 days a week and some remotely, with the understanding that government and public health guidelines will help determine the extent to which it is safe to carry out in-person and onsite activities.

All candidates must be within commutable distance of SEO’s offices at 55 Exchange Place, New York, NY 10005, upon hire.

The SEO Alternative Investments team’s mission is to promote diversity in the alternatives sector by providing education, access, and career development opportunities to early career and experienced professionals traditionally underrepresented in the alternative investments sector. OVERVIEW

The Program Manager (PM) supports various aspects of the SEO Alternative Investment Program operations, primarily focusing on managing SEO Alternative Investments Conference (AICON) our annual conference geared towards increasing access and career development for professionals in the alternative investments sector and Limited Partner (LP) programming – supporting the SEO Limited Partner Advisory Council (LPAC) community through a series of events, meetings. Specific programming includes Breakfast Connections, Emerging Managers, Endowments & Foundations program / pipeline and more as needed.

The PM will maintain and manage a comprehensive strategic plan that includes marketing, communications, tracking and data maintenance, and other projects to meet organizational goals and increase the program's overall reach and impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Operations & Management

  • Assume responsibilities for the seamless execution of AICON, this includes sponsorship outreach, marketing, operations of a variety of tasks – tracking, invoices, data collection, reporting, speakers, and additional items as it relates to the conference.

  • Facilitate the set-up of LP events, managing Zoom, Monday boards, tracking attendance, marketing, correspondence, reporting.

  • Develop plans and workflows, manage programming calendar, track milestones.

  • Manage expenses, budget reconciliation, and other related ongoing administrative processes.

  • In partnership with the AICON / LP team, manage event planning and execution, including researching, sourcing, and coordinating with vendors and sponsors to secure venues, catering, and speakers; develop run-of-shows for events and communication plans for participants, partners, and vendors.

  • Monitor inboxes and provide timely responses to inquiries and questions from AICON attendees, sponsors, and exercise sound judgment in resolving and escalating customer service issues.

  • Identify, propose, and manage other initiatives that advance and support SEO AI’s strategic and operating objectives.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Develop marketing and outreach strategies to attract target audience(s).

  • Manage newsletters for Alternative Investments team and LP Community

  • Liaise with the SEO Marketing & Communications team to create and share marketing materials via social media, email, partner platforms, and other mediums.

  • Conduct research and draft content to increase the efficacy of and engagement with marketing collateral.

Systems & Analytics

  • Leverage Monday.com and other project management tools to track and organize program deliverables; create goals and KPIs to evaluate processes and draw insights to inform recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Track program participant data; retain accountability for data accuracy and management.

  • Assist with database management by monitoring, collecting, and assessing available data to determine the effectiveness of current programming and messaging; suggest changes accordingly.

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting support to the Assistant Director and other team members as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 3+ years of work experience in a similar operations position; direct experience in nonprofit or educational program management is a plus.

  • Event planning and coordination experience for large scale conference

  • Proficient verbal and interpersonal communication skills; must be comfortable speaking to and engaging with a wide range of communities) and through different avenues, including in-person, email, messaging platforms, video chats/conferencing, and phone calls.

  • Technical proficiency in MS Office, and standard workplace applications like Monday, Zoom and Box.

  • Intermediate skills in Canva, Salesforce, and advanced Excel skills are strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple competing priorities and meeting deadlines independently and as part of a larger team.

  • Exemplary attention to detail, copywriting, and proofing skills. Must be able to adopt SEO’s brand guidelines and flex tone and style to match both medium and audience.

  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build relationships, influence key partners and stakeholders from the SEO community, and produce outcomes through collaboration.
