Project FIND Program Assistant in New York, New York

Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. Please visit our website at: www.projectfind.org.Job Summary:The Program Assistant (PA) for Coffeehouse OAC will provide general clerical/administrative support to the OAC program staff (greet participants and visitors, answer phones, provide information and referrals, maintain filing of documents, assist with daily database uploads). Responsibilities:• Collaborate with staff to create a warm and welcoming environment and provide program and resource information upon request.• Greet participants, volunteers, and guests. • Answer phones.• Provide information and referrals upon request.• Assist in maintaining program data uploads, storage, and various activity documents.• Scans older adult participant identification cards.• Prepare copies of materials as needed.• Assist in maintaining office calendars, set up reminders as needed.• Upload program attendance and congregate meal data to STARS/PeerPlace and agency internal databases daily.• Assist staff with data collection for reports and potential funders.• Maintain digital and physical file storage system.• Collect, record, and submit program contributions daily.• Assist with production and distribution of older adult center written materials.• Assist with the creation and submission of monthly newsletters.• Create program flyers as needed.• Assist with electronic and onsite distribution of program calendars.• Type letters and reports as needed.• Assist in maintaining program supply and office needs.• Organize and store program and office supplies, track inventory.• Assist with tagging NYC Aging equipment and update equipment register as needed.• Perform other relevant duties under the direction of the Program Director as they relate to the program.Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of relative experience; or Associate’s Degree and 1 year of relative experience.• Ability to read, write, and speak English.• Strong computer skills, including having comfort with inputting information into a computer. • Good organizational and time management skills.• Team player who works well with others.• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Salary: 16.54 Maximum Salary: 18.54 Salary Unit: Hourly
