The Role

As a Solutions Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for articulating the point of view and value proposition for our practices (solutions and services) and the global audiences we serve, with the ultimate goal of increasing our market share. Note that the term "Product Marketing" is often used to describe this role, regardless of whether it involves marketing products, services, or solutions.

In this position, you will work closely with the business leader for the practice and their team of global leaders to achieve our marketing objectives. Additionally, you will collaborate with other Marketing disciplines, including Content, Campaign, Brand professionals, and alliance marketers. Furthermore, you will serve as a key liaison between Marketing and other parts of the organization, such as Offering Management, Sales, and Sales Enablement.

This is an individual contributor role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Articulate Kyndryl's point of view by combining the unmet needs of the target segment with a differentiated value proposition, and describe how we deliver desired outcomes.

  • Research and segment the market opportunity based on patterns of unmet needs and trends, understanding how we compare to the competition, in collaboration with Marketing Research and Analytics.

  • Understand the personas (buyer, influencer, and user) of a buying cohort, including understanding the customer, their journey, the markets in which they operate, and the competition.

  • Activate and enable the Marketing team to help bring the point of view to life.

  • Create prioritized stories and use cases, and communicate them effectively to the business, identifying the best routes-to-market to serve those needs, in collaboration with Sales and partners.

  • Craft messaging to highlight the value of Kyndryl's solutions for customers, wherever they are on their journey of business and IT transformation, in collaboration with Content and Enablement.

  • Establish relationships with analysts and advisors, gather intelligence about the market to inform the strategy, build credibility, and develop better insights about the personas.

  • Utilize experience and credibility to advance the function by building new skills and innovative frameworks.

  • Collaborate, influence, and drive alignment with cross-functional marketing, sales, and product management (offering) teams.

  • Evangelize key differentiators, demonstrate relevance, and build advocacy.

  • Create content, including customer presentations, website content, and collaborate on thought leadership and the creation of marketing plans.

  • Develop strong partnerships with senior business leaders as well as global and regional marketing teams.

  • Build a culture of transparency, openness, growth mindset, and innovation, nurturing a high-performance team.

This is a mostly remote role, with required attendance in our NYC offices once a month.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in the Technology Industry.

  • Experience and/or passion for Solution Marketing Product Marketing, Ecosystem Marketing.

  • Strong communication and enablement skills.

  • Deep Business acumen & domain knowledge.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA (Marketing and/or Information Technology).

  • Strategic thinking & good research skills along with the ability to synthesize.

  • Extremely results-oriented and creative collaborator.

  • Curiosity & problem solving.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Able to communicate effectively to influence/ prompt action of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, programs and priorities.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $146,040 to $277,320 based on a full-time schedule.

Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $160,680 to $332,760

Colorado: $146,040 to $277,320

New York City: $175,080 to $332,760

Washington: $160,680 to $305,160

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
