Markit North America, Inc. seeks a Product Analyst in New York, NY who will utilize data management tools to collect, assess, and aggregate data quality reporting. Perform internal controls and compliance audits with external auditors on design suitability and operating effectiveness of controls for Credit Default Swap (CDS) Pricing system. Build relationships with clients to analyze credit data. Receive and act on feedback from clients. Support client queries for CDS, Index pricing, and CDS Clearing products on business as usual (BAU) projects such as client migrations, delivery migrations, file setup, and running reports. Liaise with and maintain relationships with CDS dealer trading desks and Independent Price Verification (IPV) teams to obtain the most up-to-date and accurate pricing for CDS instruments. Provide CDS subject matter expertise to clients by responding to questions, attending meetings, and explaining CDS methodologies and reports. Support various additional fixed income asset classes (Bonds and Loans) pricing client queries. Provide CDS/Bonds/Loan pricing and data challenge analysis to stakeholders. Drive relationships with contributing banks. Work with alliance partners and internal teams to manage CDS Pricing data licensing and reconciliations with third party distribution channels. Work with product development team on CDS Enhancement to improve effectiveness of CDS Pricing system. Work with cross functional teams to integrate and migrate CDS datasets into other strategic data delivery channels and platforms.*Telecommuting permitted within normal commuting distance of New York, NY officeRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Applied Analytics or related quantitative field plus two (2) years of experience in the credit industry or related occupation. Two (2)years of experience must include: Financial data analytics, including presenting data to stakeholders, ensuring data quality and improving algorithms; financial markets, including OTC credit derivatives products; utilizing Excel and Visual Basic Application (VBA) to review and validate mathematical models and pricing methodologies; using SQL to retrieve data, assess quality of data, and perform quality checks; and SQL and database skills.The anticipated base salary range for this position is $89,765 to $139,800. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications.
