S&P Global Product Analyst - Fixed Income Pricing in New York, New York

This opening provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate with Fixed Income markets (Securitized Products, CDS, Loans, and Corporate Bonds preferred), and data management interests and experience. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented self-starter to help support the needs of our Americas client base and work with other team members around the globe.

The position focuses on daily pricing responsibilities, as well as partnering across sales and technology teams to help in the development, automation, and quality control efforts to further S&P Global’s Fixed Income Pricing Services.

What’s in it for you:

  • Become a subject matter expert in a specific sub-asset class within the Fixed Income Pricing universe

  • Exposure and coordination with global team based in Singapore, India, and Europe, as well as the department’s leadership team

  • Team member will have the opportunity to work on large data sets and financial markets data

  • Exposure to different products such as reference data and evaluated bonds and loans etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting and supervising the day-to-day running of S&P Global's Fixed Income Pricing business

  • Will be required to gain an in-depth product knowledge of S&P Global's pricing products and be able to speak effectively on them internally and externally

  • Provide exceptional client service by responding to client questions on pricing and methodology, and performing price challenges

  • Will be required to build external relationships with clients in addition to receiving feedback, and acting on feedback from customers on our products

  • Responsible for daily evaluation in the form of assessing the quality of data provided and removing data sources that do not pass rigorous data quality checks

  • Adjust daily pricing assumptions to reflect security performance in current market conditions

  • Generate metrics and reports on the quality of pricing data

  • Will propose and help implement process improvements to realize enhanced quality and improve efficiency across S&P's pricing products.

  • Work across the pricing products and the broader organization to effect change and identify opportunities to grow the business (special focus on sales and business development)

What We’re Looking For:

  • University Degree (minimum Bachelor) in Financial engineering / Finance / Economics /Mathematics or a related relevant field of study

  • Understanding of financial markets, knowledge of and exposure to Fixed Income products

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines

  • Must be proficient in Excel

  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, and other programming languages advantageous

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with teams, senior members of the organization and clients

  • Team player attitude is vital for the role. This includes giving and receiving constructive feedback, as well as a deadline-orientated approach to group projects
