Yahoo Holdings Inc. seeks Principal Technical Security Engineer in New York, NY.Job Duties: Provide data engineering and data science services in support of the Paranoids information security initiatives; Meet with internal customers and stakeholders to understand data needs and plan projects; Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing systems to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures; Coordinate implementation of computer system plan with establishment personnel and outside vendors; Develop data processing systems to enable processing of Big Data collected from internal and external systems, to be made available for Data Analytics; Develop plans to migrate data processing workloads to Cloud Providers by leveraging open source and proprietary technologies; Maintain datasets and processing systems to help security teams and systems engineering teams to gather value from patterns in the data; and Develop modern data processing frameworks to process data that would help safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, Technical Security Analyst, or in a related/similar position.Special Skills: Experience therein to include 5 years performing:•Hive, Oozie, Sqoop, Pig, HBase, Solr, Kafka, Spark, Avro, Parquet, and Sentry;•AWS Services : EC2, Lambda, EMR, SQS, S3, or RDS;•Syncsort, and Informatica;•Tableau, Qlik, or Splunk;•Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Netezza, Redshift, and MongoDB;•Unix Shell Scripting, and Windows Scripting;•Java, Python, Scala, and Spring;•Linux, and Windows Server; and•SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and SSIS.Telecommuting permitted, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.Salary: $179,625.00 - $299,375.00 per year.
