About
The Department of Environmental Medicine and Climate Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Epidemiology/Biostatistics. The selected applicant will conduct data analyses investigating the effects of early life exposures (including endocrine disruptors and air pollution) on cognitive and behavioral functions within a causal inference framework. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on a multitude of other projects pertaining to child development in Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Additional opportunities to work on the impact of developmental exposures are also available. The research fellows will be working at the lab of Dr. Oulhote within the EMCS Department and the Institute of Exposomic Research.
Eligible candidates may be supported by the T32 Postdoctoral Research Training Program in Environmental Pediatrics (T32HD049311).
Qualifications
Requirements
A doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, MD) is required. Additional qualifications include:
PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health sciences, quantitative risk assessment, or other quantitative related fields.
Strong training in biostatistics and epidemiological methods.
Strong programming skills in R, Stata and/or SAS.
Experience with approaches to causal inference is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and track record of peer-reviewed publications.

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $73,588.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
