Responsibilities

Details of Research Project:

Targeting cancer stem cells (CSCs) is crucial for effective cancer treatment. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance to LGR5 + CSCs depletion in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain largely elusive. As part of this post-doctoral project the candidate will explore the role of oncofetal (OnF) reprogramming of the LGR5 + stem cells (SCs) in the context of WNT-driven CRC lineage plasticity. Drug and genetic screening will be initiated to uncover targetable vulnerabilities in CRC.

Technical Duties: (include any protocols)

Organoid and mouse work.

Multiomics NGS techniques

Molecular/mechanistic experimental design and execution.

Compensation Statement

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
