New York University Post-Doctoral Associate - 2024 (Immigrant Health, Dr. Allison Squires) in New York, New York

Background:

NYU Meyers seeks a post-doctoral associate to work on an NIH funded grant focused on nurses and patients with language barriers. The post-doctoral associate will be responsible for project management of the study as well as developing their own projects related to the study. The study will involve conducting and analyzing interviews with nursing personnel as well as survey instrument development. The ideal candidate will also have excellent organizational skills, experience with prospective data collection, and project management. Excellent interpersonal skills are also required as they will serve as the primary liaison between field sites and the study team.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Required qualifications:

· PhD in nursing or equivalent field

· 5 years of work experience as a registered nurse in hospital, public health, or community clinic settings

· Discourse competence in Spanish

· Qualitative research experience

· Proficiency with qualitative data analysis software

· Basic competence with statistical data interpretation and analysis

Desirable qualifications:

· Healthcare experience working with immigrant populations

· Survey instrument development experience or training

· Experience working with interpreters in healthcare settings

· Previous experience working with and managing project management software
