A& M's Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice, with offices throughout the US, focuses on serving upper middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged A& M to help improve operating results at their portfolio companies. The companies we serve are upper middle market in the $50 million to over $1 billion plus range.

The Operations Manager is an internal role within the Mergers & Acquisition Services practice, reporting directly to leadership. Location is flexible. PEPI is a growing business targeting high growth in the next two to five years. Job Description:

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, people and solutions-oriented problem solver charged with the end-to-end administrative and operations management of the service line practice (MAS), but not limited to effective resources management, staff utilization oversight, administration of performance evaluation process, and delivery of key information for leadership decision making.

Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager will be responsible to manage, support, and coordinate with the MAS team on the following items:

Support the M& A Services nine Managing Directors in the following capacity:
  • Staffing Coordination
  • On-going tracking of project staffing, utilization reporting (monthly), bench-time projects, and PTO
  • Support weekly staffing call and maintain tracking tool
  • Follow-up with staff to reconcile schedule-to-actuals
  • Collection and Fund Minimum tracking
  • Sales Coordination
  • As needed help with scheduling multi-party meetings and liaison with client's EAs
  • Preparing sales materials as needed including but not limited to copying, collating, and binding
  • Pipeline Coordination
  • Recruiting
  • Coordination of phone screens
  • Interview day coordination (potentially on-site)
  • Project support
  • Close out compliance activities such as reviews, case studies, and code closure
  • IT and Product diligence project cycle tracking (Excel tracker)
  • Compliance support
  • Running conflict checks, confirming compliance (signed Els), setting up codes (PIFs), and validating bill rates
  • People Management
  • Performance review monitoring
  • Supporting new hire on-boarding (working with the team) for guidance and basic administration
  • Year-end performance review scheduling
  • Year-end event support, working with leadership and the travel team


Qualifications:
  • 4 years of professional services experience, understanding project-based work.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to details with ability to manage competing priorities and multitask
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be resourceful and adaptable
  • Organizational fit with A& M's culture and values
  • Ability to communicate with senior leaders, both written and verbally
  • Ability to travel as needed (2-3 days per month)
