Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Manager in New York, New York. This role is within the financial services technology sector and will involve being a key player in managing our payroll operations, working with various stakeholders across different states in the US and Canada. The company is in a high growth stage and looking for hard working, fast paced individuals that can work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Oversee the administration of payroll taxes and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

• Utilize the UKG Pro payroll system to manage and streamline payroll operations

• Manage and mentor a team of 2 payroll associates, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment

• Handle all aspects of the company's bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll across various states in the US and Canada

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of 401k and RRSP Administration

• Manage payroll garnishments and multi-state payroll functions

• Oversee payroll for over 500 employees while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

• Resolve any payroll-related inquiries and issues independently and with minimal direction

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in payroll and benefits functions and implement best practices.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll management

• Knowledgeable in Benefit Functions

• Proficient in using UKG Pro software

• Experience in managing bi-Monthly Payroll

• Proficient in Full Cycle Payroll management

• Experience in handling Multi-state Payroll

• Knowledgeable in Payroll - Garnishments

• Experience in managing Payroll for over 500 Employees

• Proficient in Payroll Taxes

• Knowledgeable in Tax - Payroll

• Experience in managing semi-Monthly Payrolls

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field a plus

• Certification in Payroll Management would be a plus - CPP

• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations

• Strong ethics for maintaining private and confidential information
