Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in New York. This role is within the retail industry and will primarily involve processing payroll for a diverse range of employees. The successful candidate will also assist the team with accounts payable duties and other ad-hoc projects assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salary, union, and non-union employees

• Handling accounts payable activities as required

• Managing deductions and expenses related to payroll

• Working on ad-hoc projects assigned by the supervisor

• Utilizing PayPro and Microsoft Excel for payroll processing and data analysis

• Ensuring all payroll activities are compliant with regulations and company policies

• Supporting the team with increased workflow as necessary

• Handling any inquiries or issues related to payroll and accounts payable

• Keeping up to date with changes in payroll regulations and industry trends

• Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Clerk role or similar.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), Benefit Functions, Check Processing.

• Ability to process Biweekly Payroll and Weekly Payroll.

• Experience with both Non-Union and Payroll - Union environments.

• Knowledge of Deductions procedures.

• Proficiency in using PayPro software.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to perform analysis related to payroll and accounts.

• Must have the legal right to work in the job location.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
