Pay Range: $75,000- $90,000

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary:

We are seeking an agile team member with strong instincts and an eye for CPG trends. This person should move fast and be capable of breaking down and solving complex problems, with a strong will to get things done in an environment that resembles a start-up. This person must be comfortable working through ambiguity and shifting priorities. An autonomous self-starter but also a team player.

The successful candidate has experience building strong retail product assortments, brand relationships, driving significant top and bottom-line results, and managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. They will work with strategic vendors/brands across assigned categories and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent OTG / CIBO Express Gourmet Markets at all levels of the organization.

The candidate must also possess strong analytical skills and be comfortable drawing metrics-based conclusions by leveraging and interpreting data while working with cross-functional teams. The right candidate stays on top of the industry and competitive trends and can execute at both a strategic and tactical level to drive sales and margin growth while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.

Creating and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with business partners as well as a high level of knowledge about customer interests are critical to being successful in this position.

Core Responsibilities:

· Define a strategy to deliver optimal customer experience alongside profitable department growth

· Manage the key business inputs of selection, price, and promotion to achieve sales and margin targets

· Partner with Merchandising on promotions and marketing activities

· Partner with cross functional teams to design seasonal and annual strategies by category and vendor.

· Optimize sales and inventory productivity through analysis and plans that drive high-impact decision-making.

· Monitor and manage assortment reporting, driving a high standard for analytical excellence.

· Negotiate yearly contracting terms with vendors and brand partners

Other Responsibilities:

· Be an ambassador within the industry and continuously enhance OTG’s position.

· Collaborating cross-functionally on necessary systems and process improvements

· Build financial plans in accordance with merchandise strategies to maximize profitability.

· ACDBE / minority owned business supplier sourcing for assigned category

· ESG sourcing initiatives for assigned category

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Product knowledge in packaged foods categories. Natural/organic grocery management experience preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree in business, retailing, management, sales, or marketing preferred

· Minimum 2 years relevant experience

· Experience with product purchasing, negotiating, financial analysis, and inventory control at a corporate or chain retail level

· Previous P&L management and strong financial analysis skills

· Previous experience with planogram execution is required.

· Proficient in using MS Office, Excel, database, and word processing programs.

· Exceptional skills in decision-making, negotiation, communication, relationship-building, organization, and attention to detail.

· Ability to multi-task, pivot, and succeed in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service

· Knowledge of food safety requirements preferred

· Knowledge of Allegro ERP System preferred
