ConEdison Operating Supervisor, CME Survey in New York, New York
Required Education/Experience
Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering or Survey and 4 years work experience as a Surveyor or
High School Diploma/GED and 6 years experience as a Surveyor
Relevant Work Experience
3-5 years work experience as a Surveyor or Survey Supervisor Required
Experience with interpretation of relevant drawings and specifications Required
Knowledge of survey practices and technology including engineering standards and specifications to develop layouts and drawings. Required
Must have experience with the construction of Electric and or Gas facilities Required
Familiar with safety and environmental criteria Required
Supervisor experience Preferred
Skills And Abilities
Ability to interpret basic information on drawings.
Ability to build strong customer relationships
Effective interpersonal skills
Develops and delivers effective presentations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead/manage others
Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
Licenses And Certfications
- Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
Must respond to system emergencies
Must work at field locations in all weather conditions
Must work in an environment that includes heat, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
Must climb ladders and stairs
Must work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
Must travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
Must wear all necessary personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including; fire retardant clothing and safety harness
Must use their personal vehicles and transport, store, and secure company laptop computers and other job related equipment in the vehicle. Reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure.
Additional Physical Demands
Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Must be available to work weekends, nights, and weekend when required
