WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Onsite Maintenance Technician/AV Event Coordinator will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities: Onsite Maintenance Technican
- Perform maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to, testing/repairing cables and testing/repairing various hardware components
- Work with customer support departments and Supplier Account Managers to provide proper resolution options
- Interface with original equipment manufacturers, developers, engineers, and project managers to provide resolutions for highly complex systems
- Perform remote troubleshooting for local and regional offices
- Provide reports and adhere to metrics outlined in contract to provide Service Levels defined per agreement
- Ensure events including hybrid meetings, large town halls, strategy sessions, etc. are delivered in a professional and efficient manner with the focus on employee experience. Serve as a subject matter expert to plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate all activities involved.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage, coordinate, and execute the logistics of customer internal meetings and events.
- Act as on-site coordinator, providing efficient communication among several operational teams, manage the flow of the event, and serve as point person. Work closely with AV Consierge, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with customer stakeholders (Office Managers, EA, Tech Leads) to collect all requirements and needs.
- Prepare and execute communications and plan logistics within the operational teams.
- Produce events calendar and timelines and execute on-site and hybrid rehearsals.
- Liaise with presenters, speakers, and manage their presentation requirements, including AV needs.
- Present through completion of event, prepare debrief, analyze outcomes and recommendations.
- Plan and direct the development and implementation of complex multimedia events. Determine resource requirements, prepare and track schedules, and maintain controls over resources (capacity/demand)
- AV concierge and tech adoption
- Conduct technology consultations and offer support and assistance both virtually and in person
- Support the use of audio and visual equipment
- Maintain total confidentiality relating to information received for presentations and broadcasts etc.
Items to Consider:
- AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
- This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner including soldering & crimping connectors
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and handle multiple events simultaneously
- Demonstrated qualities surrounding attention to detail, follow-through, excellent judgment, flexibility and decision making
- Intermediate computer knowledge
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
- Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of audiovisual integration experience
- Must be available to work a flexible weekly schedule
