Job Description
AECOM will be seeking an Office Engineer for our upcoming project in the NYC that will be coming up in a few months.
In this position you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Manage flow of information that is typical of major construction project; including; Submittals; Invoices; Requests for Payment. Interface with the Client’s data storage system (Sharepoint or other similar systems). Communicate with the Client on Requests for Payment, Invoices and other Contractual Documents.
Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility.
Receives supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibilities but also takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
Receives direction from and works with the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager.
Assists with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.
Monitor’s subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence to project plans and promotes quality control of all installations.
Reviews manpower, reports daily workforce, and assists with reporting on the resident employment program and the section 3 program.
Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management.
Assists with compliance of the safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment throughout the job site and adheres to OSHA safety and record-keeping requirements.
Ensures safety standards and requirements are adhered to and assists in inspections when needed.
Prepares reports, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on the progress of overall assigned activities. Read and become familiar with all project documentation and schedules.
Ensures compliance with all internal and external record-keeping requirements, with particular emphasis on accurate, properly coded timecards and accurately coded, fully priced material delivery tickets. Help review GC payments, and created Excel spreadsheets for job tracking and project monitoring.
Uses current construction management system to perform record-keeping tasks including, composing daily diaries, maintaining project logs and retrieving RFIs, submittal logs and agreements.
Assists in schedule review and reporting.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and/or project management platforms
Experience with creating spreadsheets and letters as needed, scheduling, communication skills, project tracking and monitoring
Additional Information
Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00.
