This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

New York Life (NYL) is looking for a Program Lead who will be responsible for a new Separate Account product with Stable Value Wrap to market and establishing processes for efficient long-term maintenance of the product. Responsibilities include leading a cross operational team of experts across multiple practices and business areas while progressing purposefully and aggressively with regular updates to senior leadership. Developing decks, creating buy-in, advancing deliverables, and inspiring the working group will be expected and required for a person in this role to be successful.

This is a hybrid on-site role located in NYC HO and reports to the Institutional Life (IL) Head of Market Strategy, Product Development and Compliance.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead Program manager who is responsible for the development and implementation of a new Separate Account private placement product with Stable Value Wrap

  • Oversee all workstreams and deliverables necessary to meet aggressive deadlines, while managing against budget expectations, and delivering a thoughtful differentiated product to market that will stand the test of time Design product specs, including illustration, compliance and administrative requirements including working with Institutional Annuities on design and administration of the Stable Value Wrap working across business units

  • Develop the product strategy and fully implement the product working closely with functional teamswithin the IL business including the Actuarial Lead, Market Strategy, Case Management, Technology, Investments, Product Compliance, and Project Manager along with teams outside the business area

  • Develop platform of Managed Separate Accounts and Insurance Dedicated Funds in collaboration with Investment team to ensure a competitive offering

  • Create deep dive on competitive landscape in close conjunction with Market Strategy team and Distribution team to ensure product offering meets market demands under a variety of market conditions

  • Developing and deploying a thoughtful go to market strategy

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Separate Account Private Placement and/or life insurance stable value wrap experience

  • Series 6 or 7 desirable but not required

  • Experience in roles requiring in-depth research/analysis; leading complex cross functional initiatives

  • Demonstrated history as an energetic leader with a proven record of inspiring others

  • Passion for leading change and challenging the status quo

  • Deep understanding of variable life insurance products

  • Breadth of experience working in roles with research development and strategic thought

  • Honed influencing skills

  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
