Robert Half Network Analyst in New York, New York

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Network Analyst in the legal industry, based in our New York office. In this position, you will be working closely with the Information Technology Director and will have the chance to contribute significantly to our IT department. The role involves configuring and administering various software and systems, troubleshooting issues, coordinating IT training for staff, and managing IT projects.

Responsibilities:

• Configuring and administrating Microsoft Windows Server, VMWARE, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and Group Policies.

• Monitoring cybersecurity systems and controls, including MDR and EDR.

• Collaborating with Managed Service Providers (MSP) and assisting with troubleshooting where necessary.

• Implementing configuration changes to email security software.

• Troubleshooting desktop, server, applications, and other systems.

• Coordinating and providing IT training to staff.

• Reviewing and troubleshooting firewall settings as necessary.

• Installing and uninstalling software on local machines as well as on network devices.

• Configuring and troubleshooting firm telephones and liaising with outside vendors when necessary.

• Liaising with firm IT vendors and participating in demos of new software.

• Configuring and troubleshooting wireless and cellular devices.

• Maintaining IT calendar and preparing necessary documents to maintain ongoing status of projects. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a relevant role.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

• Knowledge of various programming languages like Java, Python, C++, etc.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent team collaboration skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.

• Experience in software design and testing is preferred.

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
