Job Description:

Typically acts as the secondary coverage for clients. Extensive product knowledge. Interacts with clients to execute complex product transactions that generate significant revenue. Works under direction of more senior associates.

The Market-Linked Investments Structuring & Origination team (“the Team”) is cross-asset structured products unit responsible for originating, structuring, positioning and executing transactions for both retail and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (“UHNW”) clients based across the Americas. Focus on over-the-counter and securitized cross-asset products with embedded vanilla or light-exotic optionality on equity, commodities, currencies, interest rates and hybrid underlying assets.

Responsibilities:

As part of their responsibilities, professionals on the Team develop research-driven strategic and tactical trading ideas; provide advice on portfolio hedging and positioning based on client’s objectives and risk tolerance; and engage in the structuring, origination, positioning and execution of OTC derivatives and/or Structured Notes/Market-Linked Investments.

The successful candidate will be a well-rounded individual who possesses strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills. Will be responsible for providing all aspects of the origination and structuring including preparing term sheets/prospectuses, marketing materials and presentations; pricing equity derivatives, executing transactions and coordinating the booking of transactions with relevant support departments.

  • Facilitate the structuring, origination, positioning and execution of Structured Notes or Market-Linked Investments (Domestic and International)

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Global Markets trading/structuring partners, third party issuers and hedge providers

  • Partner to help drive modernization work of our MLI platform, helping to transform our origination process and FA experience

  • Partner with internal sales specialists to optimize the adoption and distribution of products

  • Interact with trading, internal sales and financial advisors on a daily basis to relay market color, research, and trading related information

  • Identify research-driven trading ideas and market opportunities to drive business

  • Liaise and interact with traders to facilitate transactions and provide competitive pricing for clients

  • Manage secondary market of market-linked structures

  • Liaise with key partners including members of legal, compliance, trading and research

  • Proactively develop and maintain relationships with financial advisors

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2-5 years of relative work experience in financial industry

  • Strong equity derivatives skills and at least 3-5 years of prior experience working in a structured products/OTC derivatives capacity.

  • Demonstrated experience with facilitation of the structuring, origination, positioning and execution of Structured Notes or Market-Linked Investments (Domestic and International)

  • Possess strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills

  • Bachelors degree required

  • FINRA registered representative with Series 7, 63/66 and 79 preferred or ability to be obtained within 120 days
