We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.This position contributes to Starbucks success by supervising end to end operations while ensuring people, quality, cost and service objectives are met within an independent, highly visible, 16/7 manufacturing operation.Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Leads overall operations of a roasting and distribution function including receiving, roasting, packaging, and shipment of product to meet Company’s coffee production and shipping demands. Ensures workplace safety of all Roastery partners including retail partners and customers as necessary.Supporting implementation and execution of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance programs to ensure the availability of safe, wholesome, premium quality finished products. Manages established budget including staffing, materials management, product yield, and supply expenses. Provides analysis, recommendations, and implements solutions.Ensures compliance with standards and processes such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure quality product. Facilitates communication and collaboration with retail partners, manufacturing support partners, roasting plant-based partners, and SSC partners regarding overall Roastery operations.Creates and sustains a cohesive, positive, respectful, and clean work environment.Provides roasting, packaging, distribution, and maintenance partners with timely performance feedback for development, coaching, and recognition.Accountable for working within established budgets, forecasts, cost objectives and service levels.Leads and facilitates troubleshooting, acts on root cause analysis of issues, and owns problem-solving.Develops high-performing, self-directed, self-reliant teams capable of frequent, autonomousWe’d love to hear from people with:3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in coffee roasting and packaging.2+ years leading cross-functional teams and/or projects.Basic Qualifications4-year degree in manufacturing management or other applicable technical field or work equivalent.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of coffee, the origins of coffee, coffee production and Starbucks mission.Ability to engage partners and customers in lively, informative conversations while overseeing operations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to recommend and implement solutions.Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor others.Familiarity with AIB, HACCP, and GMP standards.As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
