The Global Services Group (GSG) provides American Express’ renowned brand of customer service to consumers, merchants, and corporations. It employs colleagues in 20 countries delivering extraordinary customer care to Card Members and Merchants around the world, while providing world-class credit, collections, and fraud services, and driving revenue growth for the company.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Manager in this new role will be part of GSG Finance’s FP&A team. The key focus of the role will be consolidating and providing deeper insights into Global Services Group’s financial results, answering business partner’s questions, and providing thought leadership regarding process transformation. The role will also require technical proficiencies, including the ability to build data visualizations (such as Power BI dashboards).
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain deep knowledge of the Global Services Group, build relationships across the planning community, and develop and showcase technical expertise. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strategic and analytical mindset, comfortable collaborating with internal customers, a motivating leader, will be able to work closely with leaders under tight timelines, and have a passion to drive change and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Develop expertise of overall GSG P&L and metrics; create reporting in support of planning/results processes
Responsible for interpreting/summarizing results analysis and communicating to business partners, senior leaders and EFP&A
Drive automation to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of FP&A processes (e.g., dashboard creation using Power BI, etc.)
Support planning processes for GSG, including the creation of the LRP, annual Plan, and outlook
Provide ad hoc analysis in support of LFO/EFP&A
Build, maintain, and leverage excellent relationships with key LFO and EFP&A colleagues
Drive cross-GSG projects as needed
Lead 1 B30 in New York
Qualifications:
4 years of experience in Finance, with Finance or Accounting degree preferred
Strong Leader with transformational mindset and analytical, problem-solving skills
Demonstrates thought leadership and ability to interpret financial information
Exceptional financial modeling skills with Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, TM1, and Oracle, with knowledge of Macros/VBA a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to synthesize complex data into a simple message
Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage tight deadlines
Highly motivated with strong sense of accountability, initiative, and a ‘can-do’ attitude
Continuously seek process improvement and play a lead role in driving change in the organization
Team player with strong ability to build and leverage relationships to achieve results
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
