Bloomberg LP Machine Learning Engineer - Multiple Positions in New York, New York
Position Duties: Design, implement, and train machine learning models to solve specific problems using data. This includes selecting appropriate algorithms, tuning hyperparameters, and improving model performance. Collect, clean, and preprocess data. Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to understand data characteristics and inform model design. Comparing different models based on performance metrics (e.g., accuracy, precision, recall). Integrating the trained model into production systems where it can make predictions or classifications. Continuously tracking the model's performance and accuracy over time. Retraining the model with new data, adjusting parameters, or updating algorithms to address model drift or performance degradation.Job Requirements: Position requires a Master’s degree or the foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, machine learning, mathematics, statistics, physics, quantitative finance, or related and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, data scientist, or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, machine learning, mathematics, statistics, physics, quantitative finance, or related followed by five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, data scientist, or related.Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Linux or Unix; C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or another high-level programming language; SQL or NoSQL; Big data modeling and analysis; Data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design concepts; Machine learning and natural language processing; and Distributed systems. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
Minimum Salary: 185000 Maximum Salary: 300000 Salary Unit: Yearly
