Wells Fargo Lead Software Engineer- Java in NEW YORK, New York

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Advisor Gateway development organization in Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT). You will be part of the team building the platform that will deliver over 150 applications representing the WIM business. You will join a team of elite engineers driving standards, reusable architectures, and integration services across a multi-channel framework. The role will entail development, Support of L1 and L2 Triaging and working on innovation projects, combined with implementation of DevOps practices and enterprise architecture standards. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, track risk and partner with teams to drive the future state of the WIM business.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of software engineers to deliver the core framework application for the Wealth and Investment Management business.

  • Lead the design and review of the application including functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Build documentation and guidelines related to the application.

  • Run peer reviews of developed code and features.

  • Partner with product management on key initiatives deliverables, planning and risk mitigation.

  • Collaborate with platform support on issues and operations of the application.

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, and debug for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, and serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience utilizing Java, Spring, Spring-boot, Hibernate utilizing microservices architecture

  • 4+ years of experience with Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD), DevOps concepts

  • 4+ years of web client-side development using Angular

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience with Azure, PCF (Pivotal cloud foundry ) or a combination of both or other cloud technologies

  • Technical and business architecture experience

  • 2+ years of experience with Jira software, Confluence software, Draw.io .

  • Experience supporting or directing offshore teams

  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML)

  • Experience in OpenFin

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
