Citigroup IT Business Lead Analyst with Liquidity experience– New York - C13/VP in New York, New York

The individual will work in the FRMT(Financial Resource Management Technology) Data Services team within Citi’s Treasury Global Function. The Data Services team is responsible for Data Steward activities that involve liaising with Data owners, Business Treasury and Chief Data Office teams providing business support and ensure proper governance of Citi Data Governance Policy & Standards.

This group is a critical contributor in strategic projects supporting regulatory feedback and influence Citi’s data infrastructure. To this end, we are seeking a Financial Services analyst (preferably with experience from a major US Bank) with 5 - 8 years of experience in regulatory reporting or liquidity management cross-functional programs.

This is an individual contributor , position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on solutions to challenging data problems that involve executing on critical aspects of data governance policy. Main responsibilities

  • Participate in the data requirements and issues management process for liquidity regulatory reporting including FR2052a

  • Participate in the design of Citi’s detective and preventative controls around liquidity data to support data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

  • Support committee discussions and working groups that would review and approve liquidity issue remediation and prioritization

  • Help implement recommendations against liquidity data quality issues that may influence balance sheet and liquidity optimization across legal entities and businesses

  • Help drive execution of critical aspects of data governance policy and data strategy.

  • You will partner with data consumers to agree on the scope of critical data quality challenges and ensure that the data operating model is implemented to reduce data risk.

  • Remediation of issues will include partnering with various business and technology functions. You will help build a deep, comprehensive, and documented understanding of Citi’s key data, data processes, and data flows. Partnering with business data owners will be required to ensure maintenance of key artifacts and overall data quality improvements.

  • You will be hands-on leading the consolidation of disparate information about the data, as well as ensuring a sustainable understanding of how data flows through operational and analytic platforms and assist Data owner in institutionalizing an enhanced understanding of information assets at an aggregate level, data concept level, and data attribute level.

  • You will lead initiatives in order toreduce Citi’s data management risks, as well as support the cultural shift toward active data management and ownership.

  • Identify data quality “hot spots” or points of exposure. Determine strategies to improve data quality controls and monitoring routines to de-risk points of data quality vulnerabilities using CDO approved tools and solutions.

  • Create or support the creation of data and system flow documentation and process maps. Work to align other key data capabilities including metadata repositories, data dictionaries, data lineage, business process maps, and training materials with the data and system process flows.

  • Be a trusted and informed advisor/partner to regional teams and lines of business staff members.

  • Prepare and present status updates and solutions to stakeholders, business partners, and technology teams in a succinct manner to drive decisions and actions.

  • Lead meetings and working sessions to solve issues, challenges, and risks by factoring input from partners and diverse points of view.

  • Promote “data as an asset” and influence culture change to make the organization increasingly more data-driven.

  • Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provides user and operational support

  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

  • Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Understanding current data processes and business requirements to help determine new and innovative ways to provide end-to-end solutions .

  • Qualifications:

  • 2 - 8 years of regulatory reporting, data management or liquidity management experience, preferably in Data Management, Legal, Controllers, Treasury or a Business with an understanding of liquidity-based data, regulatory reporting, analytics, and applicable regulations such as US LCR, US NSFR, and FR 2052a reporting

  • Good understanding of Secure Financing Transactions(SFTs)

  • At least 5+ years of experience in banking and financial services industry, Capital Markets ,information technology, and data governance.

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in business analysis or systems analysis.

  • 3+ years of Data Analysis/ Data Investigation

  • 2+ years ofSQL

  • Proficiency in presentationtools is required

  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) issues in a clear and timely manner to build trusting partnership a wide variety of audiences and stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, highly-focused, detail-oriented as well as a team player with high energy levels and the desire to learn and progress within the company.

  • Knowledge of business analysis procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas

  • Proven analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Proven ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques

  • Proven relationship management skills to partner and influence across organizational lines

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects in the stream simultaneously

  • Comfortable working with large data volumes and be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of logical data structures and analysis techniques

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience. MBA or CFA Level 1 preferred

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
