Actalent Inspector in New York, New York

Active Inspector Opening in NYC!

Are you passionate about tree health and urban forestry? We are seeking a skilled Inspector with at least 1 year of experience in tree maintenance, pest diagnosis, and disease treatment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts on the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) project, assessing NYC trees for beetle infestations.

  • Oversee construction projects, ensuring safety and compliance on job sites.

  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintain detailed records, including stump inspections.

  • Collaborate with contractors and manage treatments, block pruning, and emergency storm work.

  • Prepare daily reports and use city FORMS System for efficient documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year in tree maintenance and pest/disease management.

  • Strong communication and writing skills are essential.

  • A reliable vehicle is a MUST to navigate work sites.

What to Expect:

  • Full-time work through October, with a seasonal slowdown in winter, and a return to full-time around March.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00
