Position Summary
The HVAC Controls Mechanic performs operations as required by job work order and/or blueprint or diagram in preventive maintenance, operation and repairs to various types of boilers and refrigeration plant equipment used in building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities
- Must be experienced in repair and maintenance of all types of pumps; repairs, replaces bearings, bushing impellers, shafts, couplings, packing, drive belts, and sheaves without direct supervision.
- Repairs or fabricates parts using standard machine shop tools.
- Performs preventive maintenance of fans, and troubleshoots.
- Services all types of pneumatic and Electra pneumatic building systems computer control interfaces
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- Four years of trade school required, or equivalent combination or education and experience required.
- Must have a minimum of two years of technical training in the HVAC field and two years of experience in maintenance troubleshooting of all control systems.
- A total of six years' experience in the HVAC is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- NYC refrigeration license highly desirable.
