The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, this dynamic role will spearhead employee engagement initiatives, coordinate events and activities, and manage HR-related projects to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Some key responsibilities include leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making in HR operations, such as identifying trends in personnel transactions and payroll data to improve efficiency and accuracy. This role serves as a project specialist and provides actionable recommendations to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

(30%) Employee Engagement:

  • Implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee morale.
  • Plan and execute initiatives to recognize employee achievements, promote teamwork, and celebrate milestones.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and department heads to identify opportunities for enhancing employee engagement across the school
  • Serve as a liaison between HR and various departments to gather input, disseminate information, and promote collaboration on employee engagement initiatives, events, and projects.
  • Facilitate communication between HR and employees, disseminating information on policies, procedures, and benefits.

(25%) Events Coordination:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute various HR-related events and activities, including training workshops, seminars, team-building events, and social gatherings.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Handle logistics, venue arrangements, catering, and other event-related tasks to ensure a memorable experience for participants.

(25%) Project Management:

  • Manage and participate in HR-related projects to improve processes, systems, and employee experiences.
  • Develop project plans, establish milestones, and track progress to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and drive continuous improvement in HR practices and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align goals, expectations, and timelines.

(15%) HR Operations Management:

  • Handle personnel transactions, leaves, terminations, and other staff and casual employment changes.
  • Process payroll accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive HR records, including personnel files, time and attendance records, and performance evaluations
  • Manage compliance with federal, state, local, and university HR regulations, policies, and laws.

(5%) Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in employee engagement, events coordination, and project management, preferably in a higher education or corporate setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels of the school.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, event planning software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for enhancing employee experiences and driving positive change.
  • As part of the applicant process, the finalist will be required to complete an Excel skills assessment.
