Amazon Head of Zappos Marketplace , Zappos Marketplace in New York, New York

Description

Zappos is seeking a dynamic leader to drive our Marketplace strategy and operations on Amazon. In this role, you will spearhead marketplace growth initiatives, optimize sales and profitability through data-driven decisions, and build strategic brand partnerships while working cross-functionally with merchandising, operations, and technology teams. You'll be responsible for developing forward-thinking strategies, leading high-velocity events, and ensuring the successful execution of marketplace initiatives that align with Zappos' customer-first approach and company goals. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, proven marketplace experience, and the ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

• Own P&L responsibility for the marketplace business unit, developing strategies to accelerate GMV growth and profitability

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team across marketplace operations, seller success, and business development

• Drive the expansion of our seller network while ensuring alignment with Zappos' quality standards and customer experience expectations

• Collaborate with Amazon teams to optimize FBA operations, inventory management, and fulfillment processes

• Develop innovative solutions to enhance the seller experience and streamline marketplace operations • Partner with technology teams to evolve our marketplace platform capabilities

• Create and execute strategies for category expansion and seller acquisition

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
