Citigroup Head of Capital Policy - Balance Sheet Mgmt Sr. Grp Mgr - C15 - NEW YORK in New York, New York

The successful candidate will join the Capital Management team, leading a team responsible for the management and design of Citi’s and CBNA’s Capital Policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Capital Policy design and oversight​, as part of Citi's Capital Plan​

  • Recommends Citi and CBNA’s Capital Goals (Targets and Post-Stress Capital Goals) including proposing internal capital requirements such as Management Buffer sizing

  • Leads Treasury engagement across Finance to design the integrated single trigger framework and guidelines for planning​ and forecasting teams

  • Develops processes and controls for capital including policy escalation and governance protocols​

  • Owns the Capital Policy change management process​

  • Lead SME for Capital Management transformation initiatives execution, liaising with the Transformation teams

  • Liaises with businesses to ensure both an understanding and the ability to manage limits in a well-governed environment which allows for business growth.

  • Interacts with regulators, senior management and members of key governance committees for capit.

  • Manage and direct teams with oversight of Direct Reports. Part of a team which actively manages the balance sheet by ensuring adherence to established targets in order to achieve liquidity, balance sheet and capital return metrics.

  • Contributes to the governance of the balance sheet.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of related experience within financial services

  • Solid understanding of financial products on a bank's balance sheet

  • Established effective leadership and management skills with ability to build relationships

  • Previous experience in project management for firm-wide projects or processes within a financial institution

  • Strong formal documentation writing skills

  • Experience in producing governance committee and Board-level presentations

  • Solid understanding of the Treasury function within a bank

  • Experience interacting with senior management, regulators, internal audit

  • Solid organizational skills and time management skills, ability to multi-task and identify and escalate issues

  • Clear concise communication skills, both oral and written

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability

  • Ability to multi-task and ability to work under pressure

Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree with an analytical focus (e.g., finance, economics, etc.)

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
