Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the non-profit industry, based in New York, New York. We are seeking a Grant Accountant to join our team. This role entails the handling of grant accounting and billing, month-end close procedures, journal entries, account reconciliation, as well as proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for grant accounting and billing procedures

• Handle month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reports

• Prepare and post journal entries as required

• Perform account reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies

• Utilize Oracle for various accounting tasks

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in non-profit accounting

• Provide financial advice and guidance to the management when needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Grant Accounting is a must for this role.

• Experience in Billing and Account Reconciliation is required.

• Familiarity with Month End Close and Journal Entries is necessary.

• Familiarity with Oracle is a prerequisite.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Candidates must have experience in the Non-Profit industry.

• The role requires a strong understanding of Grant Accountant job function.
