The Gift Shop Attendant will assist the Gift Shop Supervisor with the performance of duties related to operating a Guestroom refreshment and Amenity program (Honor Bar, Coffee/Tea/Bottled Water, Curated Retail Merchandise, VIP Amenities, etc.). Guests will be provided with exceptional, quality offerings and service while creating a memorable experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Stock and replace all consumed items, inspect, and clean the Honor Bars regularly.

· Maintain, track and complete daily worksheet of Honor Bar stock.

· Responsible for maintaining the Gift Shop Storage in terms of par stock, organization, and cleanliness.

· Ensure products in the Honor Bars are not expired and follow proper procedure for removal and disposal of expired or damaged products as necessary.

· Responsible for the cleaning and replacement of guest room glassware, flatware & porcelain.

· Maintain, Move, Push and Pull the Honor Bar cart between storage and guestroom via elevators and hallways.

· Responsible for charging daily Honor Bars consumptions.

· Responsible for daily inventory of all Honor Bars in all guest rooms

· Ensure all in-room menus, accessories and promotional materials are current, present, and pristine. Replace them when necessary.

· Perform periodic inventory for replenishment and best seller tracking.

· Will report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook and departmental rules.

· Responsible for checking in and out keys.

· Assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.

· Properly enters rooms using room service standards, greets guests by name, respects Do Not Disturb signs, and returns to rooms that are occupied.

· Complete side work and other tasks assigned by hotel management.

· Report all Honor Bars concerns to management including any guest issues or guest request.

· Practice safe lifting and transporting procedures when receiving shipments and moving goods.

· Adhere to all safety regulations.

· Prepare, maintain, and submit paperwork required for audit in an organized and efficient manner.

· Perform any other duties deemed necessary for the success of the department.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Organized, able to multi-task and perform in a high-paced environment with competing priorities.

  • Demonstrate Familiarity with Refreshments, Snacks and Amenities that align with a Luxury Hotel Environment.

  • Ability to operate Point of Sale system and understand the procedures for posting and adjusting revenue transactions.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

For applicants who will be working in NYC , the anticipated compensation range for the position is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
