We are looking for a seasoned Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant who will be tasked with maintaining the overall integrity of our clients financial practices and ensuring smooth financial operations within their art gallery. The ideal candidate has a knack for accuracy, a passion for numbers, and an understanding of the unique financial landscape of the art world.

Responsibilities:

• Managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, filed, and reported.

• Drafting, sending, and tracking sales invoices, following up on unpaid accounts as needed.

• Efficiently managing inventory, processing purchase orders, and ensuring accurate records of all gallery assets.

• Preparing detailed client reports, providing financial updates and insights as required.

• Maintaining a comprehensive database of inventory and regularly updating records to reflect changes.

• Conducting full account reconciliations, detecting any discrepancies and efficiently solving them.

• Generating journal entries and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

• Coordinating with the team to facilitate efficient month-end closes.

• Collaborating with our external CPA, offering assistance with tax filing, and preparing comprehensive financial reports.

  Requirements

• A minimum of eight years of professional experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

• Solid experience in inventory management.

• Prior experience in an art gallery, cultural institution, or similar industry is strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is advantageous.
