Position Summary
The Department of Medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks a Financial Coordinator to provide support with financial activities, purchasing and accounts payable transactions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing of all accounts payable invoices and purchasing transactions via ARC and FFE, creates purchase requisition and purchase orders.
- Utilize Center's P-card to facilitate payments and purchasing of reagents for lab and reconciles charges on a monthly basis charging supplies to the associated chart string.
- Provides financial support for fundraising initiatives including gift transmittals, event revenue logs, and acknowledgement letters.
- Assists with center's quarterly and fiscal year close preparation, identifies open purchase orders for goods and services for accruals to rollover into the next fiscal year.
- Process supply orders for the center.
- Performs fiscal and operational tasks with routine and special projects and activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of related experience

- Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
