Citigroup Finance Transformation Program Manager – VP (Hybrid) in New York, New York

Overview:

The Finance Transformation Program Manager provides oversight through advisory support, independent review, quality control, and escalation of risks and concerns regarding the delivery of regulatory commitments created in response to the Consent Orders. The Finance Transformation Program Manager (PM) provides centralized program management to drive consistent processes and production of material. The PM is responsible for compliance with Citi’s Transformation Program Office and the related, centralized processes and procedures required to effectively manage the oversight and execution of the Transformation Action Plan. The PM may have responsibilities spanning across oversight committees and forums, as well as processes such as quality control, change control, Article, Gap and Milestone closure, or corrective action plan management. The PM will need to effectively partner with stakeholders across the COO and business functions to support the ongoing processes, continually improve the guidance and drive towards efficient and sustainable best practices.

The work performed by the Program Manager impacts the effectiveness of the Transformation Program Office, which impacts the overall execution of the Transformation Program. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and achieve agreements with other colleagues and Senior Managers across LOBs and Functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, and standards while supporting stakeholders as transformation process subject-matter-expert

  • Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure that the provided documentation meets process requirements

  • Performs quality reviews of stakeholder delivered documentation

  • Facilitates review and critique of new and established processes ensuring a controlled procedure within risk tolerances

  • Reviews and analyzes evidence and artifacts to demonstrate controls are operating effectively

  • Leads planning, direction, execution, and monitoring of day-to-day activities related to central Transformation processes

  • Monitors reports to ensure appropriate process steps are followed by stakeholders

  • Oversees and supports applicable queues and ensure appropriate actions are completed on time

  • Manages and maintains record keeping documentation to ensure an audit ready environment

  • Maintains and/or updates applicable logs, reports and/or databases to reflect status of deliverables

  • Leads the identification, communication and resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work

  • Escalates program risks to Finance Transformation Lead, when appropriate

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience

  • Excellent organizational, project/program management skills with proven experience driving large, dynamic programs with a sense of urgency

  • Good understanding of Risks and Controls and interaction with finance processes

  • Knowledge of processes and controls, internal audit and regulatory validation of risk management capabilities and experience preferred along with a strong business understanding of the Citi products and services

  • Experience in internal or third party audit, or operational or compliance risk

  • Desirable experience across Finance, regulatory and management reporting, or ledger and close processes

  • Ability to take ownership and drive parts of the program/project and lead, motivate and influence others; diplomacy skills to negotiate and persuade at all levels

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at senior levels and to facilitate discussions at medium levels

  • Proactivity, multitasking and ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams in projects of high impact and change management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships, service attitude, teamwork

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and interact with all levels of management in a professional and positive manner

  • Sound awareness of business policies, processes, structure and applications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up

  • Experience with Citi organization a plus

  • Demonstrated ability and/or aptitude to independently develop, draft and propose solutions to complex requests and/or issues

  • Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills

  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced work environment

  • Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Teams, especially in data entry/extract/reporting

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
