Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position: Finance Technology Manager (Hybrid Remote)

As Finance Technology Manager at VOA-GNY you will play a critical role as both a technical and application expert managing the optimization and strategic use of our Microsoft Business Central ERP system. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective utilization of Business Central functionalities to support our Finance business processes, drive automation, and enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities specifically tailored to VOA-GNY needs.

Day-to-day tasks will include end user account management and training, problem resolution, and managing the ongoing maintenance and software upgrades. Leveraging your expertise in Business Central configuration, system administration, and project management, you will contribute to the continued success and evolution of the Business Central platform at VOA-GNY.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Business Central certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and managing Microsoft Business Central solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP implementation methodologies and best practices.

Finance Technology Manager Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate Finance processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams such as the Finance, People, Enterprise Sales and IT, and implement system enhancements, workflows, and custom reports to optimize efficiency and user experience using our Finance technology systems.
  2. Maintain data integrity and accuracy within our Finance technology systems, regularly reviewing and updating Finance data, and developing customized reports to meet Finance and management reporting needs.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize system enhancements and integrations aligned with VOA-GNY's strategic goals, working closely with vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  4. Support the planning, execution, and delivery of Finance technology initiatives, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and effectively managing project activities and stakeholders.
  5. Provide guidance, support, and training to end-users, addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and promoting self-service capabilities to enhance user understanding and proficiency in utilizing Finance technology functionalities effectively.
  6. Enforce strict quality standards, documentation, and continuous improvement processes to drive exceptional results and ensure effective utilization of technology solutions.
