About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Investment Banker / Executive Director with a focus on Media & Entertainment sector for the Tech Media and Telecom (TMT) team. The Media & entertainment team is focused on decision makers (C-suite, Board) and on building long-term client relationships, deepening those relationships through strategic advice, strong product knowledge and flawless deal execution.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across groups and functions within Investment Banking functional area

  • A successful candidate will have expert knowledge of investment banking products and services, ideally with familiarity of clients, sector trends and challenges in the media and entertainment industries. This position will be directly involved in the origination of Investment Banking products and services for existing clients and prospects.

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas within Investment Banking.

  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and which require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and provide guidance to others.

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, cross-functional, or companywide.

  • Engage with Investment Banking professionals and managers across the company and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Investment Banking experience

  • Media & Entertainment experience within Tech Media & Telecom

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • A Master's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics

  • Investment banking experience

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of business development: business vision, strategies, and goals

  • Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: deal execution process and standards

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted

  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted

  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Pay Range:

  • Base pay range for this position in New York City is 300,000.00 USD

  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$249,500.00 - $518,300.00
