Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce seeks an Executive Director, Innovation Banking to engage venture capital, private equity sponsors, and entrepreneurs to generate credit and deposit relationships. Plan and execute events to promote the CIBC brand and expand market share. Supervise and lead a growing team of banking professionals. Work closely with local analysts and relationship managers to evaluate risk and structure proposals for new business opportunities. Collaborate with Portfolio Management and Risk Management teams to negotiate, restructure, and amend credit relationships. Identify and refer new business opportunities for other CIBC products and services, including Sponsor Finance, Private Wealth Management, Private Banking, and Leveraged Finance. #LI-DNI

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with managing and developing strategic commercial lending relationships. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience with conducting financial analysis, preparing product and technology value propositions, analyzing Total Addressable Market data, conducting investor due diligence, reviewing market surveys, analyzing valuation comparisons, and evaluating competitor assessments; 5 years of experience with managing, training, and mentoring financial associates; 5 years of experience with promoting a brand through hosted and sponsored events, conferences, panel participation, direct marketing, and sales; 5 years of experience with developing and maintaining business relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients. Up to 15% domestic and international travel required.
