ESPN, Inc. ESPN Strategy Intern, New York City, Summer 2025 in New York, New York

About the Role & Program

The ESPN Corporate Strategy team is responsible for formulating, analyzing, and defining long-term strategy for ESPN by identifying growth opportunities and efficiencies within existing lines of business. The team touches projects that span all facets of ESPN, including finance, business development, affiliate sales & marketing, programming, content, research, and marketing, among others. The program dates are June 2nd through August 8, 2025 . If selected for this role, you will report to the Manager, Corporate Strategy.

What You Will Do

This 10-week program applies ingenuity, creativity, and analytical skills in analyzing opportunities across a wide variety of departments at ESPN. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in evolving the long-term strategic planning process for ESPN, including building financial models and creating synthesized presentations for executive management

  • Working in close partnership with internal stakeholders to form hypotheses, plan out analyses, gathering data, and delivering well-supported recommendations in a timely manner

  • Monitoring industry trends and interpreting potential implications for the business

  • Collaborating effectively with executives and other team members throughout ESPN, in addition to other groups within The Walt Disney Company

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A solid analytical and financial skill set gained through relevant work experience and course work

  • Critical thinking, and a willingness to embrace and adapt to an ever-changing environment and work situation

  • Detail-oriented nature with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a demonstrated ability to create concise/compelling presentations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to work well with a variety of business partners and independently

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity and affinity for the media, entertainment and sports media landscape, including knowledge of business trends and technologies in digital media

Education

  • Junior or Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Communications or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
