ABOUT PARAMETRIC Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the asset management division of Morgan Stanley. We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what's important to them and their clients. A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years, we help investors access efficient market exposures, solve implementation challenges, and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs. We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.

This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2-3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Special Projects has overall accountability for planning, coordination and execution of Operations divisional initiatives in an effective, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. This role is a senior role at Parametric and requires the gravitas and knowledge that only a senior leader can provide. Specific examples include but not limited to establishing operations presence in other offices, strategic initiatives and other key projects that define our OKRs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Understand and design business process and systems, controls and team structure. - Plan, coordinate and deliver divisional initiatives ensuring that all employees understand the strategy and are working to fulfill the vision and have a deep understanding of the work that they do and how their work fits within the larger picture. - Identify gaps, risk and opportunities to improve processes associated with initiatives - Collaborate and partner with leaders across the firm to drive change and deliver results. - Challenge the status quo to support the growth and scalability of the business. Drive change quickly, bringing the team and individuals along for the journey without interruption to day-to-day processing. - Gain a comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle by interacting with the portfolio managers, product, operations, and engineering teams in order to work toward a shared goal. - Partner with teams across the firm to develop scalable business processes to support our clients

JOB REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience - 10 years working experience in Financial Services or Management Consulting - An effective leader who can influence and work across boundaries to deliver measurable results - Proven track record for managing and delivering change - Innovative problem solver and experience in all aspects of project management - Experience in forecasting, tracking and managing budgets - Creating communication strategies and developing communication mediums and assets to convey the desired outcome - Experience with international management, policy compliance, and governance framework strategy a plus

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE - Knowledge of the OKRs Framework - Adept in using applications like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. - Experience using Workboard is a plus but not required - Experience preparing, analyzing, and storytelling with data - Experience in utilizing project management platforms (i.e. JIRA)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
