CAIPA MSO is a management service organization in which we service over 1,200 providers in the Greater New York City area. POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing human resources management and department operations to adhere to organizational policies and procedures, and compliance with human resources laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily operations of the Human Resources Department to ensure efficient and accurate workflow, includes direct supervision of human resources staff.
Assist senior leadership in developing human resources policies and procedures for the company.
Provide and/or oversee employee orientation on company policies, benefits and programs, enrolls new employees in various benefit plans.
Oversee the administration of medical, life, AD&D, Retirement Plans, and dental insurance, including employee enrollment, preparation of forms and follow-up compensation; employee assistance in resolution of problems; submittal of COBRA forms and other information required by accounting/payroll; auditing explanation of benefits for accuracy; and advising of problems or unusual situations as they occur.
Ensure Federal, State and local compliance regarding record keeping and personnel matters.
Conduct training for staff and employees as required to inform them of changes to policies and procedures. Also trains on changes to the benefit programs.
Provide leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-range plans; gathers, interprets, and prepares data for studies, reports, and recommendations; coordinates department activities with other departments and agencies as needed.
Review employee separation notices and related documentation and ensure exit interviews are conducted to determine reasons behind separations.
Plan modification of existing benefit plans and recommend changes to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Recruitment and Staffing & Employee Relations
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for hiring qualified healthcare professionals, including strategies on sourcing, employee referral program, candidate scorecard developments, and ensuring an effective interviewing and selection process.
Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and compassionate manner.
Promote a culture of open communication and teamwork.
Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching. Continued improvement on performance management process.
Lead and develop employee recognition programs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, ideally in human resources management. Master-level training desirable.
SHRM or HRCI Certification.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Human Resources.
Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience.
Healthcare HR experience is highly preferred, though not required.
Significant knowledge of human resources administration.
Significant hiring and on-boarding experience.
Strong facility with developing, and implementing policies and procedures, management practices, equal employment opportunity concepts & legal requirements, and salary administration.
Strong working knowledge of current labor laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized & detail oriented.
Good problem-solving skills.
Microsoft Office competency.
