KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Innovation Consultant-Asset Management to join our Ignition within our Growth and Strategy organization.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Ignition's Head of Financial Services (FS) to drive growth in line with sector and broader industry priorities for the firm; focus on client deliver displaying strong facilitation skillset, with expertise in the Asset Management (AM) sector and command of design thinking methods to help further establish and execute on the Ignition AM client experience vision
Help translate sector and industry client needs and bring together firm services and assets to design, manage and deliver impactful client sessions to help close complex deals, open new opportunities as well as build relationships in existing and whitespace areas; collaborate with sector and industry leadership and leverage design thinking methods and tools to identify signals of change to bring in provocative, sector-led points of view to help clients solve complex business challenges
Design and facilitate high-quality, engaging sector-led client sessions for C-suite and direct report audiences leveraging design thinking methods
Partner actively with subject matter professionals across the firm, collaborate across Ignition, and effectively project manage multiple stakeholders to bring effective approaches to deliver impactful sessions; develop and motivate Ignition team members, helping them to strengthen sector understanding and their ability to translate client challenges into KPMG services and impactful Ignition sessions
Act as a skilled analyst, strategist, and compelling presenter to synthesize insights and takeaways in real-time and within a multi-practice context; position requires leadership of several concurrent projects, team members and stakeholders on a daily basis
Liaise with sector and functional KPMG leadership to build a pipeline of demand for Ignition services in support of AM sector and FS industry firm growth ambitions, positioning and delivering Ignition capabilities in an impactful way; work closely with and in support of Ignition's Head of FS and Ignition team, sharing ideas, driving forward improvements, delivering impactful client sessions and developing sustainable, motivated team members
Qualifications:
Minimum ten years of recent experience in a professional services environment; background in client service delivery preferred; expertise in asset management and financial services
Bachelor's degree required from accredited college or university
Excellent storyteller with the ability to prepare compelling presentations; solid understanding of design thinking principles with the ability to effectively apply them in client session delivery as well as in gathering insights for use in client sessions
Capacity to embrace a learner's mindset, stay curious about the sector and broader industry, and encourage team members to do the same
Ability to collaborate and team well with others, share ideas and learnings with teammates and bring a sense of humility to learn from teammates at all levels
Capability to drive forward process improvements and team member development
