Job Description


  • A Depositary Receipt (“DR”) Capital Market Solutions Salesperson is responsible for driving DR business growth through execution of sales and marketing strategies aiming to improve client footprint. The overall objective of this role is to own commercial, marketing, analytical, and strategic aspects of the DR business as well as to promote capital market solutions to both issuers and investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with brokers / investors to facilitate DR cross border flow

  • Drive DR discretionary flows to Citi and optimize cross border pricing

  • Join account reviews to explain market trends to issuers

  • Work with Operations to ensure seamless settlements, prospecting and on-boarding key clients

  • Refine and implement sales and marketing strategies aiming at substantially improving Citi's client footprint

  • Work with management and colleagues to establish a clear marketing plan with defined priorities and market penetration with revenue goals

  • Leverage existing network, understand client needs, introduce Citi’s offerings, sell and increase client satisfaction

  • Assist other team members in strategic positioning and close transactions with various internal stakeholders

  • Generate incremental sales and trading revenues for various relevant trading desks

  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

  • Assess risk / reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for firm’s reputation

  • Partner with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market & Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure

  • Work with product, tech and other partners to drive innovation and product development

  • Research and analyze key market dynamics and trends in the public side equity markets including trends in corporate actions, cross-border investing, liquidity, valuation to optimize business strategy to increase share

  • Provide support on fixed-income product-line, including broker servicing, data analysis, and marketing tasks

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of international equities experience

  • Prior Sales experience in financial services preferred

  • Broad client relationships preferred

  • Experience in a client facing role working with the buy-side community

  • Highly motivated, self-stater with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated advance problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Solid understanding of capital markets and banking industries

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

  • Demonstrated analytical and technical skills (especially Microsoft Office). Proficient with large data

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
