Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Management & Quantitative Analysis Specialist with our financial services client in their New York, NY location. This is a 12 month + possible right to hire position. This is a hybrid remote position that requires 3 days onsite.
Summary:
- Seeking a Data Management & Quantitative Analysis Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Establish partnerships with source system data owners to understand and document requirements related to the use and gain an understanding of the data, including scope of data, limitations, attribute definitions, and linkages to other datasets.
- Analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures.
- Performs root cause analysis for data errors; research and find scope and complexity of issues, interpret findings, and identify steps for remediation.
- Prepares ad-hoc reports at the request of managers and/or other leaders.
- Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work.
- Ensure accurate research carried out on queries and subsequent responses prior to submission to relevant parties.
- Working in a stringent deadline driven environment with the ability to manage pressure and changing work environment
- Determine business impact level for data quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to data quality standards.
- Determine root cause for data quality errors and make recommendations for long-term solutions.
Requirements:
- Oral and written communication skills and the ability to understand compliance policies and process assigned tasks in accordance with procedures.
- Strong Data Management and Metadata Analysis skills.
- Strong organization, documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's Degree within Finance/Accounting would be preferred.
- However, we are open to see applications from other studies as we provide an extensive training.
- Professional and timely handling of all enquiries.
- Experience with, and understanding of, implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls.
- banking, product/financial services and/or auditing or compliance experience would be preferred.
- Knowledge of the structuring of data environments and applications that use big data processes is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Confluence
- Experience with issue management systems.
- Familiar with logical data models.
- Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Pay rate range: $75.00 - $77.00 hourly
