East West Bank Credit Analyst in New York, New York
Analyze such factors as income growth, quality of management, market share, potential risks of industry, and collateral appraisal to determine the risk involved in lending to commercial customers; Underwrite renewals, annual reviews, and new loan within assigned threshold; Compile spreadsheets and analyze financial statements, and examine transaction documents; Evaluate financial condition and transaction structure; Generate ratios for use in evaluating commercial customers’ financial status; Perform online access to Bloomberg, IE ratings, Moody’s, S&P, etc.; Interpret RMA statistics and industry comparisons, and compare items, such as liquidity, profitability, credit history, and trend analysis with other companies of same industry, size, and geographic location; Review the commercial loan portfolio to ensure sufficient, current and accurate credit records are maintained within the systems; Note policy exceptions and possible mitigates; Provide supports to relationship manager, facilitating the initiation and servicing of commercial credit and banking relationships. Requirements:Master’s degree in finance, statistics or related field and three months experience as credit analyst, equity analyst, financial institution analyst or related occupation
