Description
Callen-Lorde is seeking a Facilities Coordinator - Evening Lead to join our team. In this supervisory role, you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff, patients, and guests. As the Facilities Coordinator - Evening Lead, you will oversee a team of Facilities Associates and provide leadership during the evening hours.
As a Facilities Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout our network of clinical and administrative sites.
Performing deep cleaning and maintenance tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, and cleaning windows.
Maintaining a safe and sanitary environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Responding promptly to emergencies and internal customer concerns.
Preparing meeting rooms and conducting building opening/closing procedures (when applicable).
Collaborating with the Facilities team and leadership to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications
Education, Experience• High school diploma or equivalent.• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the janitorial field.• 3 Technical facility, or equivalent work experience• Must be physically capable of performing the physical duties of the position including bending, squatting, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.• Certification Current Certificate of Fitness as New York City Fire Safety Director preferred• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies and safety protocols• Familiarity with Material Safety Data SheetsDesired Characteristics, Skills• Flexible schedule availability required (mornings and evenings)• Excellent customer service skills along with a helpful, can-do attitude• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Excellent organizational skills• Sensitivity to LGBT, HIV, and diverse racial/ethnic communities required.• Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks, and excellent attention to detail• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred• Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion• Commitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde
